Taggart Francis is the mind and eye behind the Zastruga name. Taggart is a Vermont raised and Hawaii based photographer, filmmaker and adventurer who likes to bring a nostalgic and raw style into everything he creates.

“Zastruga is a word that loosely means “wind blown snow drift”. It describes the formation of little “waves” caused by wind blowing snow particles around. This word perfectly encapsulates my simultaneous love for the ocean and surfing while always being called to the snowy mountains.”
